Chance is often very quiet and always very serious. He is mistrustful of anyone new for a very long time. Partially due to his apparent physical age and partially for ease of his job, Chance dresses simply in jeans, tshirts, and sneakers. This often leads people to underestimate him, a fact which Chance uses as an excuse to release pent-up anger.

Background Information: Growing up with only his overprotective older brother was never easy. The fact that the brother was a professional bouncer didn't help matters much either. Chance traveled to just about every state, following his brother to every sleazy, ratty, back-ally club and bar where there was work. Chance grew up around these people: public school and running errands in the daytime to help pay for meager room and board, fending off bullies at dusk, and training to fight and getting thrown out of his brother's bars at night. It was routine if nothing else. They never lacked for interesting people or for money.

It was no wonder that, as he got older, Chance wanted to follow in his brother's footsteps. He started spending a lot of time with the bartender of the most recent of his brother's clubs, an overly affectionate man named Kianu.... To make a long story short, Kianu and Chance fell in love and started an intense relationship which they hid from everyone.

Chance's brother forbade him to become a bouncer in fear that the boy might get hurt. But it was not so easy to keep the young redhead from harm. Late one night, Chance was attacked by a rogue vampire (clan unknown) who drained him and fed him and left the newly Embraced boy to die in the city streets. Just before sunrise, it was Kianu who found him and took him in to help him through those first few nights.

Soon after, to spare his brother the shock of his Embrace, Chance ran away with Kianu. After a long time of travel, the two settled in with Katrina when the Crimson Velvet was first hiring. Under her training and partially due to the blood taken from his cheetah lover, Chance developed highly specialized powers. His inhuman strength and speed help him do the job he always wanted, following in his brother's footsteps.
