Athena is a sarcastic and devious teenager. She always tries to act sweet and innocent, but no one who knows her for longer than a day ever falls for the act. Her usual ratty and often dirty clothes get that way from her "job" so she's not overly concerned with her physical appearance. When Katrina cleans her up, however, Athena looks the part of a stunning young lady. While manners are not her strong point, she's quickly learning the ins and outs of her new world.

Background Information: Athena grew up on the streets of New Orleans. The first memories she has is not of her parents, but of the leaders of the thieves gang that raised her. Nearly since she was able to walk, she learned the trade to make the boss proud. Now that she's growing up, the gang was changing. The boss was caught and sent to prison. Many fled to avoid being associated with him and locked up too. Athena and only a few others stuck around the city to continue carrying on the boss' work.

The gang's ambitions changed abruptly one night when Athena tried (unsuccessfully) to pick a certain woman's pocket. This woman turned out to be the vampire Katrina. Seeing the thief's potential, Katrina offered the girl the chance of a lifetime. "Learn my skills, and take over my empire." The trick? "When you become of age, I'll embrace you to the world of the undead... the vampire." After Athena agreed, she never once regretted it. Although the master might have.

At the beginning of their time together, Katrina spent thousands of dollars getting her new protege out of jail on multiple occations. The learning process was slow, but gradually, they got the hang of each other so there was more money for equipment as less was needed for bail. Still Athena tests her skills by trying to steal from her mentor. As as of yet, she remains unsuccessful.

Katrina hired Athena as a waitress only as a last resort and to keep tabs on the girl. The rest of Athena's gang operates as normal, with the 16-year old still as acting leader.
